1. Discussion – Sanctuary/Trust Town Designation
Decision Required: Whether to introduce.
The Mayor and Town Council have been working on legislation regarding becoming a Sanctuary Town. The Town Attorney provided legal advice at the last worksession. The Mayor and Council will now consider the next steps.
2. Discussion Proposed Letter to SHA – Crosswalk – Arbor @ Belleview
Decision Required: Whether to send.
Attached is a proposed letter to SHA requesting consideration for the installation of a crosswalk on a State Highway Administration roadway.
3. Cheverly Sector Plan Amendment
Decision Required: None.
The Mayor has been informed of a Cheverly Sector Plan Amendment and would like to brief the Council.
4. MagLev Train Discussion
Decision Required: None.
The Mayor and Town Council will be discussing the impact and process of the proposed MagLev train.
5. Traffic Information – 59th Avenue Speed Hump Request
Decision Required: Whether to move to public hearing.
The received a speed hump petition. The Town Clerk verified the required signatures and the Director of Public Works collected data regarding traffic (attached is the memorandum regarding the results). The Mayor and Council will have to decide on whether to schedule for a public hearing at the November Town Meeting.
6. Position Description
Decision Required: Definition of job and duties.
The Mayor and Council have discussed this matter in the last few Worksessions and continue to refine the position and process.
7. Feral Cat Briefing
Decision Required: None.
The Mayor and Council will be briefed regarding feral cats from CM MacKenzie.
8. Traffic Safety Around Gast Park
Decision Required: None.
CM Eldridge has added this item to the agenda and will address.
9. Holiday Tree Lighting
Decision Required: None.
CM Riazi has added this item to the agenda and will address.
10. Department Head Evaluations *
Decision Required: Various.
